Beta Drive is a free-motion planetary unit.

The high stability and speed of its satellites reduce the sanding time with an excellent finishing and can be used alone or with sander rollers.

Beta Drive steel and aluminium structure, has 6 rotating satellites with a 112mm diameter on which a 115mm diameter Velcro backed scraping disc can be applied.

All satellites are mounted on double row ball bearings, with steel axels and dust-gaskets.

The expert’s opinion

1

Beta Drive is an easy-to-use planetary gear unit able to easily remove all the marks left by the sander roller and traces of filler surplus with a 60-grit.

In order to do so, I prefer to use the 80-grit aluminium oxide or silicon carbide grinding discs, with lower cutting power compared to the zirconium or ceramic discs, but less aggressive, leaving fewer scratches.

2

The use of Beta Drive is easy and fast without the Inconvenience to follow the wood grain.

After the 80-grit, I use the 100-grit grinding discs for the last touch before painting or do any other finishing.

This process refers to a general grinding, excluding woods like Durmast, Iroko, Beech, Millettia laurentii and Teak, with different properties and highly delicate, requiring a different painting. In these cases, the use of Beta Drive allows the maximum freedom.

Beta Drive is a planetary gear unit that increases considerably the quality of the finishing, helping me to realise extraordinary floors.

Before installing the new flooring, I suggest you to run a hygrometric test to check the subfloor planarity and adequacy with the new flooring.
